A new member emailed this in - it's two videos shot at the republican convention this summer showing swat uniformed riot police way over-stepping their bounds with innocent college age kids and peaceful bystanders who were literally just sitting quietly in a public park - and wham - they are surrounded and arrested. There needs to be much more public awareness of incidents like this that skirt the edge of police brutality.

[ Author's update: Photos taken of these uniformed SWAT
teams arresting and harassing innocent young people are rapidly "disappearing" from media websites. I have located about 10 photos of the arrests which were at some point hosted on yahoo.com's photo archive servers, but have since been removed. If you were in attendance to the GOP Convention 2008, and got photos or video of what actually happened, please email me your photo / video evidence and I will post it to the site. Better yet, join this site and post / upload some photos and video to support the two videos above which were hidden to avoid confiscation by SWAT team members who searched everyone they arrested and confiscated cameras etc. Thanks - CKH ]

The mass arrest was on a crowd of fairly diverse, average people, from what I could tell. The home invasion (and confiscation of computers, journals etc) was on a house where a large number of young people with opposing views to the republican party were staying. While someone with a more conservative view could say, well, they were young, not in college, look like young punk kids etc, the bottom line is that they did nothing illegal! So whether you agree with their lifestyle or not, they have every legal right to be who they are. It will be clear to see that these police actions were unwarranted.
